Soyo そよ

Someone to listen.

A quiet companion on your phone. It listens, and answers with care.

Our story

A quiet place to say it first.

  1. Why it exists

Some days are heavy. Some thoughts are hard to say to the people around us. We do not want to worry them, or we do not have the words yet.

Soyo is a place to say those things first, at any hour, in your own words.

  2. The name

Soyo comes from そよ, as in soyokaze: a gentle breeze. Not a storm, and not a lecture. Only enough moving air to help you breathe again.

  3. Soy yo

In Spanish, soy yo means “it is me.” You do not need to perform, or to explain yourself first. You can come as you are.

  4. The two dots

Our mark is two dots side by side. The large one is the ember: warm, steady, listening. It breathes slowly, about six times a minute, and many people start to breathe with it.

The small one is you. The dots touch, but they do not merge. Soyo stays beside you. It does not take your place, or the place of the people who love you.

How it helps

Small, steady help.

  • It listens first.

Write the way you would talk. Soyo reads every word before it answers. It never hurries you, and it is there at any hour.

  • It answers with care.

Its replies are slow and kind, in the language you write in. It notices the small things you did well, and gently shows you what you may not see.

  • It meets you where you are.

At the start, it asks a few gentle questions: what to call you, and how you like to be spoken to. Each day, you can tell it how you feel with a color.

A gentle note

Soyo is a quiet companion, not a doctor or a therapist.

When things feel too heavy, please lean on the people around you too, and on people whose work is to help.

If you are in danger, call your local emergency number now, or reach out to a helpline.
